June 11th Update

Our top priority is our patients’ and staffs’ health and safety! We are in unchartered waters during this pandemic and taking every precaution to protect all who walk into our office. We have been humbled by the feedback of our patients recognizing our efforts. Please enjoy some of our patient’s thoughts below:

The entire staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional.
I had a dental issue that needed urgent evaluation and repair. My usual dentist was still closed due to Covid19. I had known Dr. Hawkins previously and called to see if I could be seen. The same day I called I was seen, treated, and further care was being arranged. I had a great experience (given the circumstances of the problem). The Marysville community is lucky to have such a practice available to serve their dental needs. I would recommend Dr. Hawkins and his staff without reservation.

Professional, high-quality dental care. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Dr. Hawkins and his staff ensure the safety of patients while providing outstanding care. The office is beautiful and very, very clean. I felt safe in the office, and I feel confident that I received excellent dental care from both the hygienist (Kim) and Dr. Hawkins.

It was good I appreciate the care and concern in these difficult times.

May 4th Update

Message from Dr. Hawkins:

Hello! First of all, I want to say THANK YOU to all of our patients for your patience during this time where Ohio was helping to slow the spread of COVID-19. I am so happy that we are able to re-open Hawkins Dentistry and our team is excited to welcome all of our patients back! However, with the reopening, comes a tremendous responsibility to keep you and my team as safe and comfortable as possible while providing oral health care. We’ve spent most of this week preparing for opening utilizing guidance and recommendations from the ADA, CDC, OSHA, and the Ohio State Dental Board.

Safety has always been of paramount importance and many things won’t change, but as I’m sure you’re accustomed to, you’ll see some changes to support social distancing efforts. For example, we have made physical changes in the facility and spaced out appointment times. You will be informed of other changes and procedures we need you to follow when we confirm your appointment. Please don’t be surprised if we take your temperature and have you rinse before we begin your appointment. Trust that we are all doing the same during our workday to protect you.

You are all familiar with the term PPE by now and we were able to acquire all the protective equipment we need. We may look a little goofy, but trust it’s the same familiar faces under there. There are behind the scene changes too, including expanding our housekeeping services with advanced disinfecting techniques and equipment after hours which make me more comfortable in our brand-new office.

There are risks with anything, including moving forward with your dental care and they must be weighed with the risk of ignoring health care needs. Ultimately, it is your decision. If you’d like to delay treatment at this time, I respect your decision. Every situation is unique and has different risks and consequences. If you’d like me to discuss your decision with you, please don’t hesitate to call me. Personally, I’m encouraged about the very low numbers of cases, hospitalizations, and zero deaths in our county, as of this time, in addition to our track record of infection control in the past and the changes we’ve made to protect us all moving forward.

March 19th Update

Dear Valued Patient,

With the heightened awareness of the COVID-19, I want to remind you that your health and safety are my #1 priority.

For that reason, to be compliant, we are following the mandate we received from Ohio State Dental Board and Gov. DeWine and will be closing our office until we receive notice that we can once again see patients.

Dr. Hawkins will be available for true dental emergencies. If this is the case, please call our office at 937-204-1450.

We will diligently reschedule all other treatment upon our return to our normal schedule. It is our intent to keep our patients, team members, and community safe during this time. Thank you for your support and partnering with us to diminish the spread of COVID-19 together.
